Roy David Trigg, a compassionate cosmetologist, passed away on February 27, 2026, in Brandon, Mississippi. He was on January 25, 1940 in Laurel, MS. David dedicated over 40 years of his life to the art of cosmetology, a career he cherished deeply. Even after retiring, he continued to bring joy to others by fixing hair for those in need at their homes or in nursing homes.
David was a remarkable individual, known for his unwavering dedication to Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton, MS. His strong devotion to his family was evident, as he held a special affection for his sister Peggy Trigg Burns, brother Joe Trigg, and his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He also had a big heart for animals, often feeding the stray cats that would wander into his life.
With a playful spirit, David was known to be quite the prankster, bringing laughter to those around him. His talent for cooking was another beloved aspect of his personality, as he delighted family and friends with delicious meals.
David was preceded in death by his father, William Thomas Trigg, and mother, Eula Moore Trigg. He is also preceded in death by three sisters, Linda Buckley and her husband Tiny, Brenda Page, and Jane Page and her husband Fred, along with a brother, Tony Trigg.
Visitation will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes in Brandon, MS, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. He will be interred at Brantley Cemetery in Madden, MS at 2:00 PM the same day. Roy David Trigg will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.
