Rose Ella Wicker, 82, of Pulaski, MS, passed away on April 5, 2023, with her doting husband by her side.

Rose was born on July 26, 1940, to Loraine Culpepper Warren and Joseph Patrick Warren.  Rose grew up in the Ringgold community with her three brothers and numerous cousins.  Rose graduated from Ringgold High School in 1957 and married Bobby Lee Denton on September 20, 1957.  Rose and Bobby Lee were blessed with two sons, Bobby Joe Denton, and Robert Denton.  After Bobby Lee’s untimely death, Rose married the second love of her life, Andrew Wayne Wicker, on February 13, 1988.  Rose and Wayne shared 35 years of marital bliss.

Rose began her nearly 60-year career as a hairdresser at Fondren Sisters Beauty School.  Rose established Rose Ella’s Beauty Salon in Pearl, MS, where she forged many life-long friendships.

Rose was a devout Christian and had several church homes throughout her life, but she became a staple of the Forest Baptist Church community where she worshiped and served for nearly three decades.

Rose adored her family, and they returned that adoration.

Rose was survived briefly by her husband Andrew Wayne Wicker; however, he died from a broken heart on April 6, 2023. His obituary and funeral arrangements will be shared, once finalized.

Rose is survived by her son, Robert Denton of Forest, MS; granddaughters Brandi Denton Gatewood of Forest, MS, and Emily Denton Smith (Taylor) of Pearl, MS; step-daughters Lisa Wicker Harmon (Patrick)  of Oxford, MS, and Memory Wicker Parrish (Randy) of Counce, TN; grandchildren Makena Gobbell (David) and daughter Swayze, Raines Smith (Chase), Maximillian David Harmon, Morrissey Claire Harmon, Andrew Rush Harmon, Dane Patrick Harmon, Sofia Caroline Harmon, and Susannah Keyne Harmon;  and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rose is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Lee Denton; son, Bobby Joe Denton; grandson-in-law, James Benjamin Gatewood, M.D.; parents Joseph Patrick Warren and Loraine Culpepper Warren; and brothers, Stanley Warren, Harold Warren, and Truman Warren.
