Ronnie Oneal Goss

October 4, 1956 — June 28, 2025

Brandon, MS

Ronnie O Neal Goss 68, of Brandon, Mississippi lost his battle to stage 4 pancreatic cancer on June 28, 2025. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 4, 1956, in Greenwood, Mississippi to Charlie Goss and Elouise Goss.

Ronnie was married to Kitty for 37 years. Ronnie lived in the Delta until April 1988, when he moved to the Reservoir area. Ronnie spent most of his life working in automotive parts until June of 1992 when he went to work for Kern Pager Repair, which later became known as NATCOM. He worked there until 2003, when he went to work for Hunter Engineering until 2011.

Ronnie’s favorite pastime was crappie fishing. He even won prize money for crappie fishing. His favorite lakes to fish were Grenada Lake and Ross Barnett Reservoir. He had a love for watching sports including NASCAR, Atlanta Braves baseball, and football of any kind (especially if they were in the SEC); though his favorite team being the New Orleans Saints. He was enthusiastic about working on and fixing things of varying degrees. Everything from electronic boards, to small engines, to large automotive projects. His ideas of how and with what to fix things could potentially exceed that of Macgyver, living by the moto of never getting rid of anything because he never knew when he would need it (if only he could ever find it).

His greatest joy was getting to spend time with his granddaughter Ivy Reign. He loved getting to watch Ivy play, attend her dance recitals, ask about all the things she was learning in school, keeping up with her playing soccer and T-ball, watching her swim in her pool.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Elouise Goss.

Survivors include his wife Kitty; son Josh Goss (Jeannie) of Cleveland, son Zacharey of Brandon; granddaughter Ivy Goss of Cleveland; Brothers: Jimmy Goss (Bett) of Banner; Gary Goss (Becky) of Coffeeville; Sister: Patsy Noah (Tommy) of Winona. He is survived by Uncles, Aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Goss, Gary Goss, Jimmy Methvin, Jerry Myers, Joey Russell and Brad Tackett.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
