Robert E. Stribling

Robert E. (Bob) Stribling 78, husband of Linda Johnson Stribling, passed peacefully away January 29, 2023, at his home in Brandon, MS, with family by his side. He was born February 08, 1944 in Philadelphia, MS and was the son of the late Robert Carson and Sarah Hatcher Stribling. Bob graduated from Pearl High School and attended MS State University. He spent his career with AT&T and Bell South, after which he had his own business installing phone systems.

He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved golf, hunting, fishing and RV camping. He also enjoyed attending MS State football games. He lived his Christian faith helping those in need and was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. He loved his family and the many lifelong friendships he developed.

In addition to Linda, his wife of 60 years, he is survived by his daughter Kimberly Stribling, his granddaughter Whitney Thornton, his brother David Stribling (Cheri), his sister Barbara White (Andy), his sister-in-law Sandy Frith (Ronnie) as well as nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30am on February 3, 2023 followed by the service in the chapel at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with internment at Oakdale Baptist Church Cemetery, Brandon, MS.
