Robert Earl Weaver, 86, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at MS Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-7pm Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Services will be 11:30am Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in the chapel of the funeral home with visitation starting at 10:30am until service time. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at Union Hill Cemetery in Kemper County.
Mr. Weaver was born in Kemper County, MS on March 30, 1936, to the late James Glynn Weaver and Gertrude Creekmore Weaver. Robert retired in 2001 after 44 years in the Furniture Manufacturing Industry having worked for Desoto Furniture and Madison Furniture. He was a member of Union Hill Methodist Church. After retirement he enjoyed spending time on his farm in Kemper County raising his cattle.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Wende Weaver of Pelahatchie; grandchildren, Blair Minyard and Rebekah Weaver; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Paul Grayson of Dekalb; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Alice and Hully Williams of Clinton; sister-in-law, Phillis Bayly of Prairieville, LA; 6 nieces and nephews; and 13 great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 62 years, Barbara Elizabeth Oswalt Weaver; and brother-in-law, Robert Bayly.
