Robert Lyle

Mr. Robert Gerald Lyle, age 72, a resident the Polkville Community passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 5pm-8pm at Polkville United Pentecostal Church and Thursday from 9am-11am at the church.  Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the church with burial in the Polkville United Pentecostal Cemetery.  Bro. Jeremy Price and Bro. Barron Price will officiate the services. Serving as pallbearers, Jimmy Westberry, Donnie Denton, Ben Kitchings, Matt Bryant, Kelsey Ginn and Troy Bourg. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Lyle was born in Scott County on August 8, 1949.  He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish.  Robert Gerald loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Matthew Lyle and Evon Harrison Lyle; first wife, Susan Westberry Lyle.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jan Haywood Lyle; son, Lee Lyle and wife, Christy of Morton; siblings, Pam Graves (Bo) of Flowood, Rita Ginn (Von) of LA and Harold Lyle (Dottie) of LA; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; with a host of other family and friends.
