Robert Carl Bain

Robert Carl Bain, 64, passed away on Mon. May 26, 2025, at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS from complications of VEXAS, a rare disease. Visitation will be held on Fri. May 30, 2025, from 11am-12pm at Fondren Church located at 3327 Old Canton Rd. Jackson, MS 39216. A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Fri. May 30, 2025, at Fondren Church. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements.

Mr. Bain was born on May 27, 1960, in New Orleans, LA to the late Hugh Gerald Bain and Joanne Key Bain. He was a graduate of Mississippi College, Northeast Louisiana University, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Mr. Bain served for 35 years in Music Ministry of churches in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Florida. At the time of his death, Mr. Bain was employed by Alliant Health Solutions as the ESRD Health Information Manager.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jenny Denton Bain; son, Robert “Carl” Bain Jr.; daughter, Jennifer Nicole Bain; sister, Beverly Bain Marshall (Curt); brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Angie Denton; two nieces, Sara DiRuscio (Mark), Lacey Lee (Eric) and four nephews, Scott Marshall (Racheal), Will Denton (Allie), Luke Denton (Emily) and John Denton.
