Rita C. Lott

Rita C. Lott, 82, joined her Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 25, 2026. She passed away in Jackson, MS. There will be a celebration of life service at Crossgates Baptist Church on Monday, November 2, 2026, at 2:30 pm, with visitation from 1:00 until 2:15 pm. 

Throughout her life, she was a beautiful reflection of her faith. It was not simply something she professed, but something she lived through her kindness, compassion, generosity, and love for others.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy D. Lott; daughter, Tonya Myers of Brentwood, TN; son, Tony Alexander (Gwen) of Philadelphia, MS; stepson, Patrick Lott of Clinton, MS; former daughter-in-law, Julie Suggs; four grandchildren, Joshua Myers (Haley) of the Netherlands, Jade Alexander of San Diago, CA, Casey Lott of Clinton, MS, and Caitlyn Lott Dabbs (Dawson) of Clinton, MS; two great grandchildren, Peter Myers and Dorothy Myers; she is also survived by her sister, Peggy Clark (Ted) of Madison, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Finley Creel and Allie Mae Byram Creel.

Rita Creel Lott was a woman of unwavering Christian faith, boundless love, and a servant’s heart.
