Richard Coleman Mayberry

Richard Coleman Mayberry, born on March 21, 1974, in Jackson, MS, has left a profound impact on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey in this world came to a close on June 23, 2023, in Port Allen, LA.  In his professional life, Richard worked at Deep South Equipment.

Survivors include his parents, Mike and Dixie Miller Mayberry, children, Austin (Amber) Mayberry, Trevor Mayberry and Serenity Mayberry; sister, Renee Mayberry Freeman; Lloyd (Lynn) Smith, his half-sister, Abbey Smith Mayo, half-brother, Cole Smith, as well as grandmother, Ruby Smith; niece, Victoria (Jonathan) Ashley; and nephews, Spencer Smith and David Mayberry. 

As we say our final goodbyes to Richard Coleman Mayberry, let us remember the incredible person he was—the loving father, the devoted son, a great brother, and loyal friend. Let us cherish the memories we shared with him and carry forward his legacy of kindness, love, and perseverance. May his light continue to shine through all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

There will be a visitation 3-5pm Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
