Rev. Hayward Youngblood, Ridgeland, MS
Rev. Hayward Youngblood, 81, born December 28,1929, died peacefully August 20, 2011 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. in the arms of the Savior whom he proclaimed as a minister of the gospel for over 60 years. Visitation will be held Tues. Aug. 23, 2011 from 5pm.-7pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and Wed. Aug. 24, 2011 from 12pm.-1pm. at South Side Assembly of God Church. Funeral Services are 1pm. Wed. Aug. 24, 2011 at the South Side Assembly of God Church in Jackson, MS. Interment will follow in the New Brandon Cemetery in Brandon, MS.
Ordained with the Assemblies of God in 1953, he pastored churches in Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. He leaves a legacy of integrity, godliness and an immense love for his family, the work, and children of God.
Rev. Youngblood is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances Youngblood; daughter, Regina Richardson (Ronald); son, Rev. Derek Youngblood (Teresa); grandchildren, Joy Pickron, Lara Garrard, Jonathan Youngblood, Caleb Richardson and Emily Richardson; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Mercer; brother, Bobby Youngblood and numerous other family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Cora Youngblood; sister, Maxine Carter and his brother, Edward Youngblood.
