Mrs. Elizabeth Rene Gunter Conn, age 56, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at her home.  Her visitation will be held 4pm-8pm Friday, August 19, 2022 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and Saturday from 12pm-2pm at Thornhill Baptist Church.  Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Thornhill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  Bro. Michael Bradley will officiate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Rene was born in Hinds County on March 29, 1966.  She enjoyed cooking for grand paw, scrap booking and researching family ancestry.  Rene liked to have her kid’s friends over and entertain for them and make them feel at home.  When it came to cheering for a football team, Alabama was her favorite.  She loved her family and her grandbabies very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy Gunter, Sr. and Amelia Christine Gould Gunter; mother-in-law, Virginia Conn.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Conn of Pelahatchie; children, Kandi Gray of Pelahatchie, Ben Conn (Claire) of Madison, Samantha Holmes (Thomas) of Pearl, Abigail Conn of Pelahatchie, Carson Conn of Pelahatchie and Camille Conn of Pelahatchie; siblings, Kim Hardy (Stoney) of Olive Branch and Tommy Gunter (Nan) of Saucier; father-in-law, Jonnie Conn; grandchildren, Mallorie, Belle, Mason, Marlie, Remi, Reed, Rush, Everley and Eli; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
