Phillip Harris

Mr. Phillip Harris, age 78, and a current resident of the Veterans Administration Nursing Home in Jackson, passed away on October 29, 2021.

Graveside services will begin at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Sharon Primitive Baptist Cemetery in the Goodhope Community of Scott County under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.

Mr. Harris was a native of Louisville who served his country in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired electrician for Sara Lee, Inc., and a retired poultry farmer who enjoyed woodworking and carpentry. He was a loving husband, father, and Poppa to his grandchildren. He was a member of Sharon Primitive Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Mary Delores Hollingsworth Harris and his parents: Ike and Dora Childress Harris.

Survivors include his wife of sixteen years: Mrs. Ella Campbell Harris of Magee; one son: Shawn (Rebecca) Harris of Lake; three grandchildren: John Thomas (Kaelon) Harris, Mary Katlyn Harris, and Olivia Claire Harris; one great-grandchild: Westyn Brooks Harris; his mother-in-law: Mrs. Mary Ellie Hollingsworth of Lake; and the children of Ella, Joey W. Campbell, Robin Crawford and Donna Wynne.
