Memorial services for Percy Joe Griffin will be held at a later date.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Church of God Cemetery at Dixon.
Mr.Griffin, 73 of Union died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at his home.
He was a native of Scott County. He was an ordinary man, nothing special, just a good man. He was loved by his family and will be missed.
Survivors include his wife: Jennette Griffin of Union; two children: Pamela Ann Webb and Amanda Jo Davidson, both of Union; two sisters: Louise Brooks of Brandon and Annette Joyner of Carthage; two brothers: George Griffin of Lake and Cecil Griffin of Cleveland, OH; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Percy Griffin and Marie Mahaffey Griffin; and his step-mother: Sally Beckham.
Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest assisted the family in making arrangements.
