Penny Davis, age 57, a resident of Morton passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.    Visitation was held  11am-1pm Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton with Chapel service  1pm Ott & Lee Chapel Morton.  Burial was in Cooperville Bapt. Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Penny was born in Scott County on February 19, 1965.  She loved her flowers blooming in her yard, especially the buttercups.  Penny loved to watch her husband work in the garden and watch the harvest grow and be able to pick and cook for her family.  Her and her husband, when her health allowed enjoyed going camping and she loved sitting by a fire and smelling the aroma of the burning wood.  She loved her fur babies, Gracie, Coco and Mabel.  Penny enjoyed listening and singing to gospel music, collecting angels and frog trinkets.  The most important thing she enjoyed was family, especially gathering and being together.  She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, David Houston Jones and Maggie Ruth Hill Jones; sister, Betty Carol Jones and grandson, Bentley Kade Runnels.

She is survived by her loving husband, Earnie Davis of Morton; 4 children, David Anthony Tatum of Morton, Melissa Shantell Tatum (Jacob) of Morton, Kimberlee Lasha Boyd (Timothy) of Morton and Aiden Lane Davis of Morton; brother, John David Jones (Debbie) of Morton; 3 grandchildren, Misty Lynn Boyd, Bayleigh Ann Runnels and Atlee Grace.

Pallbearers will be Dillion Vancor, Dusty Perry, Ryan Jones, Oby Jones, Brandon Jones and Jeff Thornton.  Honorary pallbearers will be David Tatum, Jake Runnels and Timmy Boyd.
