Patty Carter Smith

Betty Patricia Carter Smith, 88, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at home.  Funeral services are 1pm Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at County Line Baptist Church.  Visitation will be 4pm - 6pm Monday, April 27, 2026, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and again 12pm -1pm Tuesday, at County Line Baptist Church.  

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Bill Hester; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Jewel Carter; two grandchildren, Trey Hester and wife Britny and Chande Hester Caballero and husband Scott; and four great grandchildren, Brianna Beddingfield and husband Nick, Ezra Hester, Rowan Caballero, and Ella Caballero.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Zane L. Smith, parents, Roy Carter and Betty Rae Patrick Carter, and brother, Jimmy Carter.
