Patsy Fortenberry

Mrs. Patsy Jean Fortenberry, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at her home in Morton, MS, surrounded by her family. Born November 22, 1947, to Prentiss and Marjorie Hester Bruce. Patsy was a Christian and before her declining health Patsy was an active member of Line Creek Baptist Church. Hobbies of Patsy were gardening and yard work, she loved to travel to the beach, but most important to Patsy was her family and grandkids, spending time with them brought her great joy. Patsy was loved by so many and will be missed by all that loved and knew her.

Patsy is preceded by her parents, Prentiss, and Marjorie Hester Bruce, two sons, Patrick Courtney, and Patton Courtney: brother, Rickey Bruce: and husband, Sam Fortenberry. Patsy is survived by son, Peyton Courtney (Cassie), daughter, Jennifer Nowlan (Chris): two sisters, Darlene Hegwood (AL), Tammy Wilkerson (Monty); brother, Wayne Bruce and nine grandkids.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday April 20, 2023, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS, and Friday from 9:00am to 10:50am on Friday, April 21, 2023, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS. Interment will by at Line Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
