Noylene P. Shumaker

Mrs. Noylene P. Shumaker, age 92, a resident of Ludlow passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. Born June 23, 1932, to Wiley (Snake) and Aliene (Hawthorn) Patrick in Ludlow, MS. Mrs. Noylene worked publicly for many years before coming home to be a homemaker to take care of her family. Hobbies of Mrs. Noylene were quilting, cross stitch and cooking.She also enjoyed women’s basketball, but her love of God and family were most important to her. Spending time with her family brought her great joy. 

Preceding Mrs. Noylene in death were her parents, Wiley (Snake) and Aliene Patrick; sister, Peggy McBeth, and her husband, James “Dock” Shumaker. She is survived by her two children, daughter, Jamie (Carlos) Porter, son, Joe Shumaker (Janice), three grandchildren, Nicholas (Teri) Porter, Patrick Shumaker, and Carmen (Devin) Williams, three great-grandchildren, Cade Porter, Tripp Porter, and Emory Williams.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, the Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm in our Chapel. Burial will be at Ludlow Cemetery. Bro. Jim Burns will officiate the service. Serving as pallbearers are, Patrick Shumaker, Devin Williams, Nicholas Porter, Cade Porter, Terry Fletcher, and Dwain McBeth.
