Nelson Sellers

R. Nelson Sellers, 79, of Brandon, MS passed away December 9, 2020 after a brief illness.

He was born October 7, 1941 in Magee, MS.  After graduating from The University of Southern Mississippi in 1965, he enjoyed a respected 40-year career with the Mississippi Department of Transportation.  He retired in 2005 as DOT Administrator of the Planning Division.     He also served as a Deputy of the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department and was a founding member of the Crossgates Volunteer Fire Department.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Robert and Hazel Sellers and Aunt Willow Dean Sellers.

He is survived by his Loving Wife of 37 years Cindy Sellers, son John Sellers of Brandon MS, daughter Rhonda Webb (Larry) of Brandon, MS and Beloved Granddaughter Allison Velez (Miguel) of Atlanta, GA.

Services will be at 2:00pm Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon. Visitation will start at 1:00pm until service time.
