Nell Ruth Wilson

Nell Ruth Wilson, 74, passed away peacefully in her sleep in Greenwood, Mississippi, after a hard-fought illness, on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with visitation beginning one hour prior. She will be laid to rest following the service in Lakeland Place Memorial Park in Brandon.

She was born November 3, 1950, in Grenada, Mississippi, to Charlie James Haley and Emma Wiggins Haley. She spent most of her life in Greenwood, where she attended Bible Baptist Church and operated a daycare business from her home. She was a loving aunt to all of her many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wilson, and parents, Charlie and Emma Haley.

Survivors include her brothers, Roy Haley (Maxine), Roger Haley (Suzanne), Bobby Haley (Virginia), and Neil Haley (Cindy); and sisters, Margaret Logan, Sue Moody, Jean Tolliver, and Brenda Methvin (Jimmy); and numerous nieces and nephews.
