Nell Barnes Harrison, 86, passed away Sat. Sept. 24, 2016 at Beehive Assisted Living Center in Newton, MS. Visitation will be held on Mon. Sept. 26, 2016 from 10am-12pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Mon. Sept. 26, 2016 at Homewood United Methodist Church in Homewood, MS with burial following in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Harrison was born and raised in Homewood, MS. She has been a resident of Newton, MS since 2000 where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newton, MS and was active in the church Senior Choir. Mrs. Harrison was also a member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and the Newton Garden Club.
She is survived by her two sons, Phil Harrison (Stacy) and John Harrison (Lisa); seven grandchildren, Jon Brannon Harrison (Nancy), Nathan Harrison (Lindsay), Andrew Harrison (Ava Marie), Erin Britt (Corey), Ashley Rich (Tom), Phillip Harrison (Christie) and Austin Harrison; four great grandchildren, Harrison Rich, Walker Rich, Laila Harrison and Mia Harrison; a niece, Ann Bowen (Buzzy) and a nephew, Bo Bowen (Kala).
