MR. NED “NAILBENDER” WHITE

PELAHATCHIE

Mr. Ned White, age 71, a resident of Pelahatchie, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at his residence. Visitation was held 5-8pm Tuesday from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and resumed at 10am until service time on Wednesday at the Shiloh Methodist Church. Funeral services were held 11am Wednesday at the Shiloh Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Sam Burton II, Rev. Booth Poole and Rev. Rodney Smith officiated the services. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. White was a lifelong resident of Rankin County. He was a member of the Do Right Hunting Club and loved to be in the serenity of nature and listen to the bark of the dogs on the hot trail of a deer. Mr. Ned was an avid Nascar fan. On July 2, 2010 he was proud to be waving that victory flag when Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove his father's No. 3 car across that finish line for a victorious win. Ned White was proud to wear the name, “Granddaddy. He loved to drive the grandkids on the tractor and spoiling them was his top priority. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mildred White and two nephews, Jackie I. White and Jerry Patton White.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Margaret Jo White; four sons, Ryan White (Charlotte) of Pelahatchie, Ricky White (Virginia) of Pelahatchie, Rodney White (Michea) of Pelahatchie and Rex White (Michele) of Pelahatchie; five brothers, Jack White (Evelyn) of Pelahatchie, Joe (Lynell) White of Pelahatchie, twin brother, Ted White (Mary) of Elberta, AL, Tommy White (Ann) of Pelahatchie and Kenneth White (Brenda) of Pelahatchie; 13 grandchildren, Britney White, Amber White, Crystal White, Randa White, Logan White, Isaac White, Jake White, Blaine White, Austin Vancor, Brittany Smith, Leah Davis, Lacie Walters (Gabe) and Cory Walsh; 11 great grandchildren, Gabbi Walters, Cass Walters, Maddie Walters, Chrystianna Beemon, Arrianna Beemon, Tyson Beemon, Makenzie White, Jayonne White, Roxy Shyanne White , Aiden Walsh and Eli Walsh; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Aaron Wadsworth, Wesley Martin, Dustin Graham, Waymon Parker, Bob White and Timmy White. Honorary pallbearers were Logan White, Blaine White, Cass Walters, Tyson Beamon, Jake White, Austin Vancor and Isaac White.
