Ms. Tommie Huffman

Tommie Lee Huffman, age 77 passed from this life on January 13, 2021 after an extended illness at the age of seventy-seven. She was a resident of Mississippi Care Center of Morton for the past twenty years.  The youngest of eleven children, she is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Zora Huffman, two sisters, Rita Banes, Dot Gray, and a brother, Clyde Huffman, Jr. Her husband, J. B. Brown also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her siblings, Jeanette Bates, Velma Knight, Cammie Falvey, Frankie Huff, Mattie Garrett (Finis), Carol Traxler, Jimmy Huffman, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Born October 15, 1943, Tommie was a unique individual who loved being around people and had a memory like an elephant. She could remember the most minute details from years ago and kept things lively with her own style of humor.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 2:00pm -3:00pm outside on the portico at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Graveside service will follow at Cross Roads Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Tal Vardaman presiding.

Pallbearers are nephews Danny Falvey, Steve Garrett, Jackie Banes, Eugene Huff, Jackie Shivers, David Chastain, Scot Huffman, and Jarrett Myers.
