Mrs. Janie Hall

Janie Hall, age 67, a resident of Morton passed away after a short illness at her home on July 4, 2022.  Visitation will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Chapel service only will be held at 11am on Thursday from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Piney Grove Cemetery.  There will be NO graveside service.  Mike Webb will officiate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Hall was born in Rankin County on September 5, 1954.  She enjoyed going fishing, sitting on the porch swing looking out over their beautiful home place and just enjoyed going for a ride looking at things.  Janie loved when the fair came every year so she could get her fair taffy that she enjoyed so much.  She loved her family and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Thompson and Emma Boggan Thompson; daughter, Machelle Easterling; siblings, Wesley & Arnold Thompson, Mrs. Jackie Denton; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Belton J. Hall and Annie Bell Hall.

She is survived by her loving husband, Belton C. Hall of Morton; 2 children, Belton Daniel Hall (Casey) of Morton and Charles Dustin “Dusty” Hall (Dana) of Blackhawk; sister, Nellie Gray of Morton; 4 grandchildren, Destiney Hall, Joseph (Bubba) Hall, Kaylee Hall and Hunter Hall; brothers-in-law, Dalton Denton, Tony Hall, Jeff Hall (Joan) and sister-in-law, Judy Kemp (Tommy); and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be David Gray, Scotty Thompson, Dwayne Thompson, Clay Denton, Joel Easterling, Dalton Denton, David Ainsworth and Mark Denton.
