Mrs. Geneva Shoemaker, age 95, passed away at her home in Yazoo City on December 3, 2021. Visitation will be held 9am-11am, Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Services will be held at 11am on Tuesday from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton. Bro. William Savell will officiate the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mrs. Shoemaker was born in Yazoo County on December 30, 1925. She loved working puzzle books and working in her flowers. Geneva loved people to visit her and enjoyed talking. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Shoemaker; parents, Sweeney McCurdy and Annie Bell Davis McCurdy and siblings, Claudine Woodall, Mary Katherine Smith, Rosie Shoemaker, James, Charles and John McCurdy.
She is survived by her brother, Henry M. McCurdy, Sr. (Karen) of Yazoo City; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tavarius Johnson, Dole Dempsey, Chad Kyzar, Nicky Holmes, Toby Holmes, Mike Holmes and Curtis Holmes.
