Mrs. Mary Virginia Parker Statham passed away at Jasper General Nursing Home on Monday, September 22, 2025.
Visitation will be held 10am-10:30am, Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Leesburg Baptist Cemetery.
Graveside will be held 10:30am Thursday at Leesburg Baptist Cemetery.

Obituary for Mary Virginia Parker Statham
Mary, better known as Sister Mary or Mamaw, went to her Heavenly home
September 22, 2025.
Sis. Mary was born, March 12, 1939, preceded by the death of her
Husband, Dennis Statham of 52 years of marriage.
One daughter, Lisa Buckles, two sisters, Janey and Donna.
Two brothers, J.A. and Tommy
Sis. Mary is survived by her two sons, Curtis and Jeff Statham.
One sister Dorothy Shirley.
One brother, Charles Mooney.
Grandchildren Kelly, Stephanie, Chris, Enoch, Noah, Marshall, Sarah, Matthew
And a host of great grandchildren and one great great grandchild
For most of Sis. Mary’s life, you would find her in one of her favorite
Spots, in the choir singing at her home church, First Assembly of God in Ellisville, MS. She was an active member and loved to sing specials.
She was a prayer warrior in her church.
She never met a stranger and she was loved by everyone that met her and found humor in most every situation possible.
