Visitation: Tuesday, 5/17/2022 from 5pm-8pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home Morton.

Funeral service: Wednesday, 5/18/2022 at 10am in the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton.

Burial will follow at Sims Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Mozell Massey, age 85, a resident of Morton passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Mississippi Care Center in Morton.  Visitation will be held 5-8pm Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 10am in the Ott & Lee Chapel Morton.  Burial will follow at Sims Hill Cemetery with Bro. Ed White officiating.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Massey was born in Kosciusko, MS on April 1, 1937.  She and her husband, Bennett Arthur were the owners of ABC Daycare for many years.  They loved all the children as their own and the children even called them Mamaw Mozell and Papaw Massey.  Mozell loved cooking and hosting.  She enjoyed being outdoors working in the garden and then she spent many hours canning the wonderful vegetables.  Mozell loved her dog, Ginger and her family very much.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bailey Flem Frazier and Rena Pearl Hutchinson Frazier; husband, Bennett Arthur Massey and 5 siblings, J.B. Frazier, Bobby Ned Frazier, Wardell Frazier, Hilda Boyett and Marjorie Norton.

She is survived by her children, Ray Massey (Jackie) of Clinton, Terri Porter (William) of Morton and Tammie Massey of Morton; 3 grandchildren, Jannie Lynne Hollingshead (Rachel) of GA, Kristen Cherry (Will) of Flowood and Emma Grace Thomas of Morton; 2 great grandchildren, Camilla and Connalie; and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Martin, Jake Pickett, Corey Shoemaker, Mike Massey, Kent Pickett and James Massey.  Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Dorman and Marty Ware.

Memorials may be made in her name to Childrens of MS Hospital at UMC or Mississippi Care Center of Morton.
