Michael Philip Sturgeon

Michael Philip Sturgeon, 69, a resident of Brandon, MS, passed away on Wed. Feb. 21, 2024, at Merit Health River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS handled arrangements.

Mr. Sturgeon was born in Lubbock, TX on March 24, 1954. He served his country in the United States Air Force and enjoyed photography, playing the guitar, fishing, electronics, and computers.

He is survived by his best friend and soul mate, Linda Sturgeon; father, Jack Sturgeon (Anna Lou); daughter, Amy Bartelink (Eric); son, George Hellwig; grandchild, Emy Bartelink; brothers, Scott Sturgeon (Amy Lasser) and Chris Sturgeon (Julie); aunt, Helen Perrin; uncle, George “Chuggy” Baker; nieces, Ceana Sturgeon, Caroline Sturgeon; nephews, Sam Sturgeon, Will Sturgeon and his two loving pets, Kitty 2 and Nora. Mr. Sturgeon is preceded in death by his mother, Joann Sepp
