Merriam Ewing Smilley, 84, passed away on Fri. May 23, 2025, at St. Dominics Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. May 30, 2025, from 6pm-8pm at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church located at 400 Grants Ferry Rd. Brandon, MS 39047. A graveside service will be held at 10am on Sat. May 31, 2025, at Lakeland Place Memorial Park Cemetery in Brandon, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Smilley was born on May 4, 1941, in Longview, TX to the late Del Roy Ewing and Merriam Gredelle Tucker Ewing. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS.

Mrs. Smilley is survived by her son, Brad Webster; brother, Billy Ewing and four grandchildren, Elias Webster, Isaac Webster, Malcolm Webster and Phoenix Webster.
