Mattie Harrell

Mrs. Mattie Ruth Harrell, age 93, a resident of the Branch Community passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at home. Born on July 18, 1929, in Smith County to Oliver and Velma Thompson Regions. Mrs. Mattie was a member of Groveton Presbyterian Church. Hobbies of Mrs. Mattie’s were flowers, gardening, cooking, and taking care of her family.

Preceded in death are her parents, Oliver, and Velma Regions; two sisters, two brothers; grandson, Shannon Lee Terrence, and her husband, Roy Harrell. Survived by four children, Mary Carpenter (Marty Boutwell), Anita Measels, Dennis Harrell (Lavern) and Cindy Strong; two sisters, Karen Brown (Bruce), Jeanette Ruth (Donnie); ten plus grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and numerous great-great great grandkids. Funeral Services were 11:00 am on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Groveton Presbyterian Church, Burial was in the Church Cemetery.

Funeral Services were entrusted with Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS.
