SERVICES: 2 PM FRIDAY, APRIL 16, 2010 AT ST.PAUL'S CATHOLIC CHURCH. THERE WILL BE A 4 PM THURSDAY ROSARY AT THE CHURCH AND VISITATION IS 5-8 PM THURSDAY AT THE CHURCH.
Dylan Kornegay, 19, began his journey to Heaven on the afternoon of Sunday, April 11, 2010.
In his final days, Dylan was surrounded by family, friends, and the caring and loving staff at the Joseph M. Stills Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia.
Throughout his 19 years, Dylan touched and entertained many lives with his love and commitment to God, family, and friends. He had a passion for living life fully through his love for hunting, fishing, sports, and being with his many friends. Dylan is in the Class of 2010 at Canton Academy and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. His beautiful smile, big brown eyes, and laughter are forever engraved in the hearts of those who know and love him.
Dylan is survived by his parents, Karen Gueniot – Kornegay of Brandon, MS and Donny Kornegay of Clarksdale, MS; his brothers Spencer Kornegay of Brandon, MS and Gavin Kornegay of Memphis, TN; his grandmothers Pauline Dillie of Houma, LA and Lucy Kornegay of Clarksdale, MS; along with many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends – all of whom he treasured dearly.
Arrangements for Dylan’s funeral are being coordinated by Ott & Lee Funeral Home, Brandon, MS. The funeral mass will be held 2 pm Friday, April 16, 2010 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Flowood, MS. Praying of the Rosary will be 4 pm Thursday, April 15 at the church and visitation will be 5 –8 pm at the church.
