Mary Sue Flanagan Hawkins, 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 10, 2014. Visitation will begin at 4:30pm Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS with a Memorial Service beginning at 5:30pm in the chapel.
Mary was born in Jackson, MS to James Percy and Doly Spann Flanagan on February 2, 1942. She worked for Hertz as a Senior Station Manager for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Joe D. Hawkins, Sr.; children, Robert Lynn Flanagan, Angela Flanagan (Tony Michael, Sr.) Richardson, and John Wesley (Michelle Lynn) Hawkins; sisters, Ruby Ainsworth of Braxton and Tina Nickens of Pearl; brother, Bubba Flanagan of Pelahatchie; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and many others that affectionately knew her as “Mama Sue” and “Granny.”
