Mary Joan Miller

Mary Joan Henderson Miller, age 68, a resident of Morton passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 at MS Care Center of Morton.  Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Graveside service will be held at 2pm Sunday at Morton Memorial Gardens.  Bro. Scott Walters will officate the service.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mary Joan was born August 23, 1954 in Magee, MS.  She loved the Lord and enjoyed going to Church of the King.  Mary Joan enjoyed knitting, loved talking and being around people and her puppy, Eli.  She was a wonderful daughter-in- law and took great care of her in laws when they were sick.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her and that smile and heart of gold will definitely be missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, E. Lee Henderson and Emma Brown Henderson; brother, Donald Lee Henderson; step-father, Ray Blocker; nephew, Jake (Man) Miller; mother-in-law & father-in-law, Alma and George Williamson.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronny Miller of Morton; son, Aaron Phillips of Morton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank and Miki Miller, James and Sandra Williamson, Larry McClure and Michael and Barbara(Lulu) Tisdale; special friends, Ruby Lucroy and Nancy Craft; a number of nieces, nephews and great nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mike Tisdale, John Paul Lucroy, Randy Sanford, Dusty Williamson, Josh Miller and Tommy Atkins.

The family prefers a memorial to be made to Church of the King, P.O. Box 337, Morton, MS 39117 instead of flowers.
