Mary Ann Roland

Mary Ann Roland, age 78 a resident of Newton, formerly of Forest, died Tuesday, March 14, 2023, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12pm Thursday, March 16, 2023, from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest with Bro. Ken McLemore officiating.  Visitation will begin at 10am till the service time.  Graveside services will not be held as the family will remain to visit with friends.  The final resting place is in the Sandtown United Methodist Cemetery near Philadelphia.

Mrs. Roland was born in Neshoba County on June 26, 1944, to her parents John William Hall and Margaret Christine Shackleford.  She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Leo Russell for over 40 years before she retired.  She was a member of the Harperville Baptist Church.  She loved life to the fullest, enjoying her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son Ken Willis.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Roland of Forest, two brothers Clarence Hall, Sr. (Ann) of Lake, Grady “GW” Hall (Nancy) of Newton, loving step-children, Gina Dupree, (Jamie) of Louin, MS and Lee Roland (Jimmie Lynn) of Austin, TX. four grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom she loved very much,  several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Pallbearers are Mike Roland, William Hall, Kirby Money, Jack Madison, Ben McLemore, and Chris Spence.
