Mary "Susan" White, a beloved member of her community and a cherished wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 25, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 1, 1967, in Monticello, Mississippi, Susan's vibrant spirit and loving nature touched the lives of many around her.
Throughout her career, Susan dedicated many years of service to McNeely Plastics, where she was known for her hard work and commitment. Beyond her professional endeavors, she was a devoted member of New Life Church in Crystal Springs, MS, where her love for the Lord and community was evident.
Susan had a passion for life that was evident in her many interests. She loved deer hunting, going fishing, and taking road trips to Texas to visit her beloved brother. The beach brought her joy, as she delighted in the beauty of the water, and her adventures traveling to Montana to explore nature and seek bears brought her great fulfillment. Her time spent watching shows about monkeys would make her smile and creating memories with her family were among her most cherished moments.
Her loving and outgoing personality, paired with her warm smile, had the remarkable ability to light up any room she entered. Susan shared a special bond with her husband, Michael Lamar White, which was characterized by love and affection. Together, they built a beautiful family.
Susan is survived by her adoring husband, Michael; her son, Gregory Dale Mathis of New Orleans; and her son Timothy Michael White and his wife, Gracie, of Independence, MS. She also leaves behind her siblings: Gail Bates (Billy Wayne) of Crystal Springs, Lisa Turner (Aubrey) of Clinton, Jimmy Gogolewski (Carlina) of Taylor, TX, Wayne Davis of Clinton, Howard Davis (Cindy) of Crystal Springs, Lynn Davis of Olive Branch, and Ron Davis of Wylie, TX, along with a host of many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Helen Davis, and her brother, Bobby Davis.
Susan’s legacy of love, faith, and adventure will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her family encourages friends and loved ones to come together to honor and celebrate her remarkable life during the visitation and services scheduled at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes in Brandon, Mississippi. Visitation will take place on June 27 from 5 PM to 8 PM, and again on June 28 from 9 AM to 10 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10 AM. A graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS, starting at 11 AM.
