Marguerite Black Cox, 93, a resident of Brandon, MS died peacefully on January 5, 2018 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with the interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held 1 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cox was a native of Philadelphia, MS. She was the daughter of John F. Black and Grace Guice Black. Mrs. Cox was a loving mother, mother-in-law and was affectionately known by her grandchildren and great grandchildren as Mee-Maw and Grandmother. She loved being in the presence of her family and had a very giving heart. A smile was always on her face. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her parents; children, Kay Craft, Gail McElveen and John Grisham.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Herman) Ainsworth; son-in-law, David (Dana) McElveen; grandchildren, Corey McElveen, Christian McElveen, Emily Fish, Graham Yeatman, Ken Ainsworth, Jennifer Dupree, Michael Ainsworth, Paul Craft, Brian Craft, Jason Grisham and Kevin Grisham; many great grandchildren and a host of friends.
