Margaret Jane Driskell

On September 1, 1931, Clay Roy Sr. and Mildred Cooper Peagler were blessed with a baby girl, Margaret Jane. She was the baby girl following the birth of four boys. Margaret Jane Driskell left her earthly home on July 19, 2026, at the age of 94 to join her Lord and Savior in heaven and reunite with her friends and family waiting for her there.

She lived her entire life in Leesburg, Rankin County, Mississippi and was extremely proud of her community. She was a dedicated member of Leesburg Baptist Church. Many precious friends, family and neighbors filled her life. Although she was part of the workforce most of her adult life, she had been retired for many years. She was very business minded and remained independent until the last few years. We often remarked on how she was "sharp as a tack" and during her final illness "she's a fighter" were words we heard more than once. While her presence will be missed by friends, family and her community, there is no doubt that all was well with her soul and she will be made anew in heaven and suffer no more.

Aunt Jane was preceded in death by her parents Clay Roy Sr. and Mildred Peagler, and her brothers, Bryant Peagler, C.R. Peagler, George Peagler and Pete Peagler.

She is survived by her nephews, Jimmy Peagler (Jo Anne) of Ft. McCoy, Florida, Thomas Peagler (Nancy) of Lakeland, Florida, Terry Peagler of Pearl, Mississippi, Theo Peagler of Brandon, Mississippi, Reggie Peagler of Pearl, Mississippi and her nieces, Rose Nelson of Beaumont, Texas, and Ruth Ann Peagler of Auburndale, Florida, as well as many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and other family members. She is also survived by members of her Sunday school class at Leesburg Baptist Church and The Joy Class, who she considered her honorary family members.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM, at Leesburg Baptist Church in Leesburg, Mississippi. A Funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM at the same location. Burial will immediately follow at Leesburg Baptist Church Cemetery
