Margaret Walters Breeden

Margaret W. Breeden died at her home in Brandon, Mississippi, on December 30, 2024. She was 64 years old. Margaret was born in Greenville, Mississippi. She spent her early years in Scott County and Benoit, Mississippi, and later moved to Carthage, Mississippi for a short time. Margaret lived most of her childhood in rural Scott County north of Forest, Mississippi. She graduated from Scott Central high School and attended Hinds Junior College. She fulfilled her lifetime dream by graduating from Mississippi College with a degree in nursing in 1998. She worked at several hospitals and clinics before stopping in 2009 to stay home. 

Margaret enjoyed painting, collecting knick knacks, taking care of her dogs, and making people laugh. She never met a stranger and was always the life of the party.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Mel J. Breeden; sister, Delores Nokes and her husband Burt and their daughter, Elizabeth; brother-in-law, Tom Balmer; nephew, Thomas Balmer and niece, Brittany Ingram and their children.

Visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.
