Funeral services for Mr. Mack Carl Harris will be conducted Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Forest with the Rev. Danny Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow in the Providence Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Visitation will be Sunday beginning at 11 A.M. and continue until 2:45 P.M. prior to the funeral service.
Mr. Harris, age 82, a resident of Raleigh, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at MS Care Center in Raleigh. He was a lifelong resident of Smith County and enjoyed farming and gardening. He was a member of Acts Baptist Church at Raleigh.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Harris, his parents: Lee & Rosie Harris; seven brothers: Plummer, Bill, Leroy, Ray, Dick, Gearley T., and Molly Harris and two sisters: Bonnie Yarbrough and Lillie M. Sykes.
He is survived by his stepchildren: Mary Lou (Jerry) Powell of White Oak; Maxine Pace of Burns; Martha (Tim) Walker of Burns, and Jimmy (Annette) Burns of Raleigh; eight step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Walker, Lance Walker, Harold Harris, Jimmy Grammar, Tracy Laird and Tracy Hughes.
