Lula Watkins

Lula Mae Watkins or "Boots" gained her wings March 29, 2022 at the age of 94. Visitation will be held on Sat. April 2, 2022 from 11am-1:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Sat. April 2, 2022 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Forest, MS with burial to follow in the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Lawrence, MS.

She was a loving Christian woman. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. She had a heart of gold. Her passion including spending time with her family, friends, going to church, and cooking. Lula Mae was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Lawrence, MS.

Survivors include her children, Joe Watkins of Lawrence, MS, Buddy (Eva) Watkins of Lawrence, MS and Jimmy Watkins of Philadelphia, MS; sister, Jack Pinson; grandchildren, Billy Joe Watkins, Tonya Watkins Orr, Josh Richardson, Tiffany Watkins Morrison, Jennifer Watkins Baldwin, Crystal Watkins Collins, Greg Watkins, Big Billy Watkins, Lori McMullan, Teresa White and Connie Ware; 23 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Watkins; parents, Algie and Pearl Gibbs Hollingsworth and her siblings, Marzell Patterson, Annie Richardson, Ottis Hollingsworth and Marsha Hollingsworth.
