Lola R. Key, 78, passed away on Sat. June 17, 2023 at her home in Pelahatchie, MS. Visitation will be held on Wed. June 21, 2023 from 1pm-3pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 3pm on Wed. June 21, 2023 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Crossroads Baptist Cemetery in Pelahatchie, MS.
Mrs. Key was born in Jackson, MS on Sept. 22, 1944 to the late Victor Rogers and Dorothy Grimes Rogers. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS. Mrs. Key enjoyed working in her yard and keeping her house cleaned.
She is survived by her three children, Judy Shaw (Mark), Virginia Key White (Ricky) and Tommy Key Jr. (Diana); sisters, Sara Lucas, Dorothy Till and Libby Phillips; grandchildren, Lacie Walters (Gabe), Britney Stewart (Brandon), Austin Key (Kessie), Drake Key (Kalai), Leilani Garletts (Dewight), Kristy Irby (Bill) and Anthony Shaw (Cynthia); great grandchildren, Gabbi Walters, Cass Walters (Abbi), Maddie Grace Walters, Ayden Stewart, Xander Stewart, Levi Renfroe, Wyatt Renfroe, Bailey Key, Olivia Key, Aubri Key, Thomas Key, Collins Garletts, Brooks Garletts, Stella Jo Garletts, Evelyn Shaw, Dakota Shaw, Charlie Jean Shaw and one great-great grandchild, Jack Reid Walters. Mrs. Key is also preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Key Sr. and her siblings, Victor Rogers, Pete Rogers, Homer Rogers, Edgar Rogers, Clara Henderson and Jenny Shuler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Miss. Chapter at P.O. Box 456 Ridgeland, MS 39158.
