Lisa Marie Threatte Reaves Peden, born on November 7, 1964, in Claxton, GA, passed away on October 5, 2024, in Brandon, MS. She is preceded in death by her father, David Warren Threatte, her father (Pepa), John Waddell, and her brother, David Threatte. 

She is survived by her husband David Peden, her five children: Brandi Nicole Reaves, Salia Nell Martin (Chris), Stewart Jon Reaves, Nelisa Ruth Reaves, and Carrie Marie Higgins (James), along with her stepson, Bryan Peden (Brecken), six grandchildren and her mother Nell Waddell. 

A graduate of Vidalia High School in 1983, Swainsboro Tech in 1985, and Hinds Community College in 2003, Lisa was known for her determination and love for learning. Lisa was passionate about arts and crafts, often enjoying coloring and creating crafts with her children. She loved watching movies, especially her favorites like Dirty Dancing, Titanic, and Elvis films. As a history lover, she enjoyed attending Civil War reenactments and cherished moments spent fishing. Her presence was a constant at her children’s school events, where her enthusiasm for their accomplishments shined. 

Lisa was a devoted daughter and remained close to her mother, Nell Stewart Waddell, and her brother, David, throughout her life. She is remembered for her loving nature, unique spirit, and the joy she found in being surrounded by her family, especially her beloved Chihuahua, Bambi, who would always be sitting with her. Lisa's legacy of love and determination will be cherished by all who knew her.
