Linda Martin Everertt ‘82’ of Puckett, MS died peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Brandon Court Nursing Home in Brandon, MS. On Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 am, a memorial service will be held in White Oak at Everett Cemetery. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS handled arrangements. 

 

Mrs. Linda was a native of the Puckett Community and a member of Puckett Baptist Church. Her faith in Jesus was the driving point in her life. She was a dedicated beautician to her community for several years. Many knew her as “Bigmama” due to her serving heart, open-door policy, love for cooking and willingness to share her mind.  After she retired from doing hair, her passion became her flowers and her grandkids and great-grandkids. 

 

Mrs. Everett is survived by her daughter, Teresa Murphy; four granddaughters, Daphne Russell; Laura Leigh Potter and husband Les Potter; Victoria Sykes and husband Nathan Sykes; Gloria Murphy; Nine great-grandchildren, Reide Wallace, Gunner Wallace, Brooklynn Stevens, Dylan Stevens, Rebecca Sykes, Will Stevens, Cate Potter, Essie Mooney, Everett Murphy and her brothers and sisters Tony Martin, Woody Martin, Dan Martin, Anna Charlton, Velma Cochtane, and Corinne Kirkendall. 

 

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth “Bud” Everett; son, Curtis Everett; mother, Maggie O’Quinn; father, George Martin; sister, Sylvia Keeton; brother, Marcus Martin.
