Linda Perkins Gober

Linda Louise Perkins Gober passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the age of 76.

Visitation will be at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 am, with a funeral service beginning in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am.

Linda was born on February 6, 1949, in Brandon, Mississippi, to James Leroy Perkins and Mary Lucy Beard. She graduated from Pearl High School and later earned a degree in nursing from Hinds Community College. Throughout her career as a registered nurse, she worked in multiple nursing facilities. She married Floyd Lee Gober in 1968, and together they had two sons, Floyd Lee Gober, Jr. and James Edward Gober, whom she loved dearly. She loved tennis and enjoyed playing and watching the game for over fifty years. She also enjoyed animals and other games.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Lee Gober; mother, Mary Lucy Barr; father, James Leroy Perkins; and brother, Jimmie Perkins.

Survivors include her sons, Lee Gober (Christine) and James Gober; sister, Sue Pierce (Larry); grandson, Kade Martin; and many nieces and nephews.
