Linda Mullins Garrett went to be with our Savior on Sunday, June 29, 2025. She was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi, on December 17, 1944. Her family relocated to Simpson County, Mississippi and later to Brandon, Mississippi, in 1957. She graduated from Brandon High School in 1963. After high school, she attended Hinds Junior College where she received a secretarial degree. She later found her passion as a hairdresser and worked in salons in the Brandon area until her retirement in 2007.
She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Brandon where she taught Sunday School and VBS and sang in the choir. She was quite the accomplished soloist.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dock and Nell Mullins; her brothers, Ken and Karey Mullins; and sisters, Sue Ellen Mullins and Nell Horne.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bill Garrett; daughter, Jill Garrett of Madison, MS; two granddaughters, Tori Hunt (Jerad) of Batesville, MS, and Lauren Wall (Robert) of Madison, MS; one great granddaughter, Sadie Beth; sister Debbie Leber; and several beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, followed by a graveside service in Harrisville Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
