Laverne Bates Klabunde, 94, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Briar Hills Rest Home in Florence, MS. Visitation will be 10 – 10:45 am Monday, November 7, 2022, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Pisgah, MS. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Cemetery at 11:00 am.
Mrs. Klabunde was born in Leesburg, MS of Rankin County, on July 11, 1928, to Eugene Bates and Agnes Harrell Bates. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Jerry (Cindy) Klabunde, Larry (Kay) Klabunde, and Marilyn Klabunde Lilley; three grandchildren, Emelyn (Chris) McBrayer, Nick (Michelle) Klabunde, and Kayla Klabunde; five great grandchildren, Will McBrayer, Lilley McBrayer, Izzy Klabunde, Fallon Klabunde and Evelyn Blake Vaughn; and she is also survived by a host of cousins and friends.
