LaShonda Watkins, age 33, a resident of Morton passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 in Smith County.  Visitation will be held 9:30am-2pm Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with chapel service to follow at 2:00 pm.  Graveside will be held at Leesburg Church of Christ Cemetery with Bro. John Goodhue officiating.  Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton is honored to serve the Watkins family.

LaShonda was  born in Hinds County on September 20, 1991.  She enjoyed taking her kids to the park to play, travel and shop.  LaShonda faced some hard battles in life, but in the end her family and her children were her life and meant the world to her.  She will be greatly missed by her family and children.

She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Prestage.

She is survived by her 2 precious children, Gage Watkins and Lianna Rankin; mother, Wanda Alford of Pelahatchie; grandmother, Linda Kelley of Morton; grandfather, Larry Kelley of Pelahatchie; brother, Chris Prestage of Morton; grandmother, Mary Jean Smith of Pelahatchie and a dear friend she confided in, Bro. John Goodhue of Morton.

Pallbearers were Austin Sanders, Jacob Hamilton, Larry Prestage, Matthew Griffin, Jr. Watkins, Chris Prestage and Kenny Watkins.
