Larry Till

Larry “Pops” Eugene Till, age 72 of Pelahatchie, departed this life on Friday morning the 11th of November 2022 at home surrounded by family.

A Celebration of Larry’s Life will be 2:00 pm Sunday, November 13, 2022, from Holly Bush United Methodist Church with Rev. Donnie Stuart and Rev. Jeff Nesbit officiating. Burial will follow in Pelahatchie Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Brian Till, Leonard Gray, Trey Till, Harley Hall, Johnny Till, and Sam Till. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Till and Dexter Till. Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and again on Sunday 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Holly Bush United Methodist Church.

Larry was an avid fisherman and woodturner, he and Bettye enjoyed traveling and camping with friends and spending time with family. Larry worked for 35 years with McCarty Holeman as a project manager and spent his retirement years with Bettye traveling. He was a member of Holly Bush Methodist Church since 1970. Larry lived most of his life in Pelahatchie but recently moved to Brandon to live close to his sons.

Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bettye Till; two sons, Brice Till and his wife Lorie Till; Phillip Till and his wife Melanie Till.   His grandchildren Cody Shumaker, Caleb Shumaker, Harrison Till, Adlyn Till, John Ramsey, Allie Till, and Blake Till.    His sister Sandra Toney and her husband Jimmy Toney. Larry is also survived by his 3-year-old puppy "Penny Love".

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Plummer and Lou Alice Till and brothers Howard Till, George Till, and Johnny Till.
