Larry Bowen

Larry Bowen, age 70 of Brandon, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00pm Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon with Dr. Clarence Cooper and Rev. Gayden Harrell officiating. Visitation will start at 12:00pm and continue till service time. A graveside service will follow at 4:00pm at Fairmont-Waco Cemetery in Mize, MS.

He was born in Raliegh, MS on August 1, 1950 to the late Ottice Bowen and Myrtis Watts Corley.

Larry was a member of Brandon Baptist Church and an ordained Deacon. He retired as a Loan Officer with the United States Department of Agriculture. Larry was a die hard MSU fan. He loved the outdoors and hunting. Larry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He adored and loved his grandchildren. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Larry is survived by his wife, Linda Bowen; children, Chris Bowen (Whitney), Jason Bowen (Cheri Beth), and Amanda Sellers (George); grandchildren, Gracie, Laney, Abigail, Taylor, Levi, Charlye, Maylee Kate, and Caroline; sisters, Nancy Martin and Cindy Mason (Wes); and a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Larry’s name to the Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund.
