Lance Russell was born on September 7th, 1966, to Dan and Joy Russell. He attended Brandon Academy, Hinds Community College, and the University of Southern Mississippi. He attended the Culinary Institute of New Orleans, where he trained with Emeril Lagasse, among others. He owned Glenwalden’s Restaurant and Cafe Southern Star, At the end of his life, he worked for the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers on the Dredge Jadwin.
He is survived by his mother Joy; sister Angela; brother Mark; his three children, Vallye, Bolton, Zane; daughter-in-law Callie; and three grandchildren Navy, Dexter, and Wallis. He is also survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 32 years Staria Russell.
A service will be held at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon Mississippi, at 12:30pm on Monday, August 21st at 12:30pm. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m.
