Kristy Davis, age 42, a resident of Vicksburg but formerly of Ludlow, MS passed away at her home on May 3, 2023.  Visitation will be held 1:30pm-2:30pm Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Chapel service will be held at 2:30pm Sunday from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with graveside to follow at Ludlow Cemetery.  Bro. Jim Burns will officate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Kristy was born in Rankin County on May 16, 1980.  She had a heart of gold.  Kristy was a foster mom for two children for over three years.  Her home was open to these children and she cared and loved for them dearly.  She loved the beauty of nature and enjoyed horseback riding and deer hunting.  Kristy was known as the "favorite aunt" from her nieces and nephews.  She loved her family very much and will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Christine Davis and Melvin Davis; maternal grandfather, Paul Crawford; uncle, Bill E. Davis.

She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Grantham Trippe (Michael) of Ludlow; father, Richard Paul Davis of Ludlow; son, Dezmen Davis (Aayana Chapman) of Hattiesburg; grandmother, Viola Crawford of Ludlow; siblings, Shelly Edwards (Chuck) of Fannin, Stephanie Bera (Dan) of AL and Greg Davis (Angel) of Ludlow; step sister, Brandy Waltman (Chad); step brother, Brock Tripp (Tiffany); furbabies, Shyane, Dixie and Coco; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Davis Edwards, Chuck Edwards, Chad Waltman, Dan Bera, Steve Grantham, T.J. Benton and Hunter Davis.

Memorials may be made in her name and honor to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
